A single-site mixed-methods study has started at the P.A.N. centre for post-acute neurorehabilitation, combining shadowing and walking interviews, questionnaires, activity tracking (accelerometry), and routine clinical data to map where patients spend time outside scheduled therapies, what activities they engage in, and how architectural features and the built environment shape everyday routines, social interaction, and recovery-supportive behaviour across the centre.
The P.A.N. centre for post‑acute neurorehabilitation in Berlin-Frohnau is operated by the Fürst Donnersmarck Stiftung Berlin and provides post-acute neurological rehabilitation and support for people with acquired brain injuries on their way back to everyday life. More information about the centre can be found here.
